According to a new report out from CNBC, Roger Dunn a labor and employment attorney is warning workers that bosses can mandate that their employees can either get vaccinated or be fired.
Pew Research just released a study that found roughly 39% of Americans will refuse, or wait and see, on the new covid vaccine.
But half that group would be willing to get the vaccine if given more time and information. The remainder of the group says they won’t get the vaccine under any circumstances according to Pew Research.
Our guess is the actual number of those who are hesitant about taking the vaccine is much, much higher and it has authorities worried because 70% acceptance is be required to achieve herd immunity according to CNBC.
But according to Roger Dunn and CNBC employers may not take no for an answer and could force workers, with some exceptions, to take the vaccine or lose their jobs.

“Under the law, an employer can force an employee to get vaccinated, and if they don’t take it, fire them.
“A couple of my corporate clients are leaning toward making the Covid vaccine mandatory,” said Rogge Dunn, a Dallas labor and employment attorney.
His clients range from companies in manufacturing to food and beverage — industries that have been battered for months due to the pandemic and government-mandated lockdowns. A vaccine promises employers a return to some form of normal, which is desperately needed as businesses look to recover profits.”
CNBC and Dunn also stated that some industries, like heath care, employers may mandate this sooner rather than later as many health care workers are on the front lines of fighting the pandemic.
There are some exceptions to this rule, ones that are wide enough to almost make it all seem meaningless and arbitrary.
For example if the workforce is unionized, or an employee could claim a medical exemption that could force the company to make reasonable accommodations or an employee could claim a medical exemption, according to Dunn and CNBC.
Certain that some governors are looking into whether or not agencies like OSHA can be used to force employers to mandate vaccines in the name of worker safety.
One of the biggest problems with all of the covid related rules is they seem to contain exceptions for preferred groups, for example labor unions, and that needs to end.
At the beginning of all of this the slogan was “we’re all in this together,” but we have seen over the past several months that is clearly not the case.
Rather than mandate we all get vaccinated, or else, I have a better idea. How about if all the politicians in America get in line first and lets see how it all goes?
If this is all such a good idea surely they’d jump at the chance, right?
