Actress and activist Alyssa Milano’s Twitter feed was filled with replies after she announced “I’d like to extend an olive branch to Trump supporters.”
Milano wrote “I’d like to extend an olive branch to Trump supporters. I am ready to move #ForwardTogether. There’s so much work to do to heal the nation. Let’s be a part of the solution and not add to the problems we face. My comments are open. Please reply with #ForwardTogether.”
She added “We’re going to need a lot of humility and compassion right now. Anger and triumphalism is less helpful.”

Ironically, Milano’s “olive branch” in many cases annoyed Democrats who blasted her for making the offer.

I’m biracial and I sure as hell won’t be offering any olive branches to Trump supporters. I cut every single one I knew out of my life and couldn’t be less interested in ever welcoming them back. Good riddance.
