It is expected that Joe Biden is going to allow a pandemic-related ban on visas to expire for certain temporary workers.
The ban was enacted by former President Trump to force business to hire Americans in an effort to lower unemployment caused by pandemic lockdowns.
The moratorium affected H-1B visas that are mainly used by technology companies to hire foreign coders and engineers for cheaper wages than Americans.
When Biden told oil workers laid off to learn code, they won’t get hired because big tech companies will now hire foreign workers who are much cheaper to employ.
It is no doubt that Biden’s decision will please Silicon Valley who hires a majority of IT workers from India, who has been lobbying the Biden Administration since they took office.
Companies like Facebook and Google hire foreign talent instead of Americans to keep their operating costs low.
Biden is also considering ending Trump’s restrictions on guest-worker visas that cover non-agricultural seasonal laborers and last month he ended Trump’s executive order that stopped the issuance of new green cards.
“To the contrary, it harms the United States, including by preventing certain family members of United States citizens and lawful permanent residents from joining their families here,” Biden said in a presidential proclamation at the time. “It also harms industries in the United States that utilize talent from around the world.”
Biden is killing American jobs claiming we must look to the future however, his policies are creating an environment where Americas won’t be hired because big tech is outsourcing overseas.
Once again Biden is selling out American workers and giving his buddies in big business a boost.
NEW: President Biden is expected to let lapse a pandemic-related ban on H-1Bs and other guest-worker visas imposed by former President Trump, a big win for tech cos. The moratorium is due to expire tomorrow.
