New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s year continues to get worse by the day.
According to the Washington Examiner, the latest fiasco involves one of the governor’s former aides, Lindsey Boylan, who served the governor between March 2015 and October 2018. Boylan raised sexual harassment claims against Cuomo in the past, claiming that Cuomo sexually harassed her “for years.”
But only recently, in the wake of others coming out against Cuomo’s alleged bullying and overall inappropriate nature, did Boylan reveal some of the startling details behind her claims, which were bizarre, to say the least.
Boylan started dropping nukes in a published Medium post this week, providing screenshots and text messages and other forms of proof that she failed to provide in her earlier claims of harassment.
One of those instances, as recounted by Boylan in her post, was that Cuomo allegedly asked her to play a game of “strip poker” during a 2017 flight. Of course, strip poker typically results in the removal of someone’s clothing, which is not exactly a healthy workplace experience between employee and boss.

Even more creepy was the revelation that Boylan’s direct supervisor revealed to her that at one point, Cuomo had a “crush” on her.
Though Cuomo was allegedly a little too handsy with Boylan over the years, she recounted the first time she was actually frightened by his behavior, which happened at a holiday party in December 2016. Boylan said she ended up in the governor’s office after one of his staffers told her that Cuomo wanted to see her.
That’s when things got weird, as Boylan described that while she “tried to maintain [her] distance,” Cuomo insisted on showing off a cigar box he received from former President Bill Clinton, which Boylan — and any logical person — would take to mean that Cuomo was making reference to the affair Clinton had with staffer Monica Lewinsky — specifically related to the infamous cigar incident.
She would eventually get out of his office, but said that at one point, Cuomo allegedly intercepted her and gave her an unwanted kiss on the lips.
Do you think Cuomo should resign?
When Boylan revealed the sexual harassment claims last year, she wrote that several other women contacted her to share similar experiences.
Of course, it’s highly unlikely that you heard about any of this if you’re outside of New York politics, as Cuomo has plenty of friends in the left-leaning media, including a brother, Chris Cuomo, who has massive influence at CNN as he’s one of their highest-rated prime time hosts.
Let’s be completely honest: Had this happened to a Republican governor, state assemblies would already be holding impeachment inquiries. Democrats, from the state to federal level, generally seem to get a pass on sexual harassment claims, just ask President Joe Biden about that.
With that being said, given the mountain of scandal Cuomo is quickly finding himself on top of, it might only be a matter of time before his blanket of media protection unravels, only time will tell.
