Dr. Anthony Fauci, who many have accused of acting as the “expert” who can dictate what Americans can and can’t do as the COVID-19 pandemic begins to wind down and America begins to open back up, was absolutely shredded by former Fox News host and journalist Megyn Kelly.
On Monday, after Fauci interviewed with fear-mongering NBC’s Chuck Todd on the pandemic subject and, specifically, about when people might be able to start holding indoor weddings again, Fauci was taken to task by not only Kelly, but many people on social media.
The criticism came after Fauci responded to Todd’s inquiry about weddings, with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director admitting that he couldn’t give an “exact date” on when indoor weddings might be advisable again.
“If we keep going down and get to a very, very low level, when we’re there and we have a good proportion of the people vaccinated, I think you are going to see weddings in the normal way,” Fauci responded.
That’s when Kelly dropped the bomb on Twitter.

Her tweet immediately went viral with thousands of people agreeing that while Fauci might believe he has some say over who can do what and when, Americans have been getting back to a normal routine for months now without Fauci’s goalpost-moving guidance and advice. d
Others on social media joined in on taking shots at the “expert.”

Got married last year and not a single person got COVID.
People shouldn’t be seeking the blessing of public officials to get married — this is absurd. https://t.co/8ECPNheXV6

Comments on that post included multiple reports of people who either got married recently or attended large weddings where nobody caught COVID-19 as a result.
Those accounts might be anecdotal, but they’re certainly proof that those in power — including much of the mainstream media — who want to continue the scary, COVID-19 narrative, are quickly losing ground and scrambling for expert Dr. Fauci to give them a few extra rounds of ammunition.
Todd also suggested to Fauci that “climate change” could be responsible for future pandemics, which is asinine at the very least. But Fauci played along like a good media soldier.
“When you think about sadly having to prepare for this again, and I know there’s a lot of folks who think that, due to climate change and due to the globalization in general, it is inevitable that we’ll deal with more and more viruses like this. The biggest lesson you are going to take away to prepare for the next one,” Todd said.
“You know, there are a couple of lessons, Chuck. There are lessons domestically and public healthwise and scientifically. Let’s take global to begin with. We have to have a better global health security network of interconnectivity, of communication, of transparency so that we are talking to each other all the time and know what’s going on. We also have to have a continued investment in the science,” Fauci said in response.
Dr. Fauci undeniably has the credentials to be called one of the best in his field and he might have started out with the best of intentions. But as he continues to be the liberal mainstream media’s primary fear tool, he shouldn’t be surprised at the fact that he’s nothing more than the subject of memes and jokes from this point on.
