According to a new Fox News report Rep. Elise Stefanik is receiving “encouragement” from supporters across the state as she considers whether to mount a gubernatorial bid in New York in 2022.
According to the report her advisers are saying she is “not ruling anything out.”
Stefanik Senior adviser Alex DeGrasse said Rep. Stefanik garners support “from all corners of the state”
He also said she “would immediately be the strongest Republican candidate in both a primary and general gubernatorial election.”
So far Rep. Lee Zeldin has announced his candidacy to run against embattled Gov. Cuomo.
Zeldin said while appearing on Fox and Friends “I’m running for governor of New York in 2022. We are going to win this race.”
“I’m all in, we are all in,” he added.
