On Thursday, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson angered thousands of Fox News viewers after a segment on his show in which he called out President Donald Trump’s attorney, Sidney Powell, for not only failing to provide any proof of the bombshell evidence she claims to have with regard to fraud in the 2020 election, but also for eventually refusing to come on his show to make her case.
“Sidney Powell has been saying similar things for days. On Sunday night, we texted her after watching one of her segments. What Powell was describing would amount to the single greatest crime in American history,”Carlson said on Thursday night, while adding that he would have given her the “entire week” of airtime to make her case.
Carlson doubled down, saying that after several attempts, Powell “never sent us any evidence, despite a lot of requests, polite requests, not a page. When we kept pressing, she got angry and told us to stop contacting her. When we checked with others around the Trump campaign, people with positions of authority, they told us Powell has never given them any evidence of either, nor has she provided any today at the press conference.”
Powell took an opportunity on Friday morning to strike back and correct the record during an interview on Fox Business Network, disputing Carlson’s claims while claiming that she did, in fact, offer proof for Carlson’s show.
“I didn’t get angry with the request to provide evidence,” Powell told Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo.

“In fact, I sent an affidavit to Tucker that I had not even attached to a pleading yet to help him understand the situation, and I offered him another witness who could explain the math and the statistical evidence far better than I can. I’m not really a numbers person,” she added.
Of course, earlier in the day, Powell appeared with Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis at a 90-minute press conference in which they laid out exactly what they would move to prove in a court of law.
The press conference generated a ton of buzz, especially from high-profile Trump supporters who were excited about the revelations. But the presser also drew increased skepticism from many in the media, including Carlson, as they alleged that Powell and Giuliani offered nothing of new significance in their latest briefing.
On Friday, Powell went further in her response to Carlson’s take on the matter, calling the highest-rated cable news host “insulting, demanding, and rude, and I told him not to contact me again, in those terms.”
Only time will tell whether Powell and her team have magnitude of evidence required to reverse the preliminary results of the 2020 presidential election. If that ends up the case, it appears as if quite a few media talking heads will need to prepare to write apology letters.
