A bombshell report has uncovered that the Biden Administration is prescreening reporters before regular press briefings.
The left-wing Daily Beast has uncovered a Biden press room scandal exposing that staffers are pre-screeening reporters before press conferences to prepare for their questions. Three sources have come forward and said that the Biden administration has “already on occasion probed reporters to see what questions they plan on asking new White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki when called upon during briefings.”
From the Daily Beast:
According to three sources with knowledge of the matter, as well as written communications reviewed by The Daily Beast, the new president’s communications staff have already on occasion probed reporters to see what questions they plan on asking new White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki when called upon during briefings.
One reporter raised the issue during an informal White House Correspondents Association Zoom call last Friday. According to multiple sources, leaders at the meeting advised print reporters to push back against requests by the White House press team to learn of questions in advance, or simply to not respond to the Biden team’s inquiries.
Biden’s press team has not denied that they are screening reporters before briefings and that they are asking for questions ahead of time to not make it appear they are dodging questions.
This makes Psaki look even more pathetic over the way she has been fielding questions, she often “circles back” when showing difficulty answering a question. Why does she need to “circle back” if she already knew about the question in the first place?
“I often note I’m going to circle back. I hate to disappoint conservative Twitter but I’m going to circle back on a number of things as we often do directly,” she said on Monday following mounting critiques from social media users highlighting her seeming inability to directly answer questions on the spot.
Psaki doesn’t hold a candle to McEnany.
