Governor DeSantis held a presser today and was asked by a reporter about the maskless floridians in the photos and videos from the Super Bowl celebrations. But he did not pull any punches in his response as he pointed out the media’s absurdly obvious hypocrisy on the issue:
FOX 13 – During a news conference in Venice, DeSantis spoke about the increase in COVID-19 vaccines that have been made available to senior citizens. He then took questions from the media.
One reporter brought up the photos that went viral this week of crowds celebrating in the streets after the Super Bowl, despite cases of the U.K. variant continuing to rise in Florida.
When asked what he would tell those who saw the photos and are scared that not enough is being done to stop the spread, DeSantis said, “The media is worried about that, obviously.”

He continued, “You don’t care as much if it’s a ‘peaceful protest’… and then it’s fine,” DeSantis said. “You don’t care as much if they’re celebrating a Biden election. You only care about it if it’s people you don’t like. I’m a Bucs fan. I’m damn proud of what they did on Sunday night.”
The governor continued by saying that in terms of the U.K. variant, the COVID-19 vaccines will be effective against it.
“We have not seen any data or any evidence to suggest that these vaccines are not effective. So if we get the seniors vaccinated, we’re going to be good.”
Just like Trump, the media wants to blame DeSantis for everything in his state, to make it seem like DeSantis isn’t doing enough to stop the spread of the new UK variant. Dude is trying hard as hell to make sure seniors in his state get the vaccine as quick as possible, and all these reporters want to do is throw turds at him.
But instead of giving a mealy mouth answer or cowering in other ways, DeSantis turns it around on them LIKE A BOSS, throwing their own hypocrisy right back in their faces and standing up for the truth. And I can’t get enough of it.
