During a recent press conference, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about their 100 day plan to have schools open at least one day a week. NBC’s Kristen Welker asked “why is the administration setting the bar at one day a week. Why not go higher?”
During Psaki’s reply, she called the Biden admin plan “bold and ambitious.” She added “we certainly hope to build from that.”
Welker then said “a lot of schools are already doing that” and “for working parents, one day a week doesn’t help a whole lot.”
